About APAC Caballos

Asociación Protectora Amigos del Caballo — APAC for short — is a small Spanish charity founded by a group of volunteers who could not stand by while horses around them were being neglected, mistreated and abandoned.

From our base in La Xara, Denia, we rescue horses in need, rehabilitate them with patience and care, and where possible find them loving forever homes. Those that cannot be rehomed live out their days with us in safety, in a herd, with shelter and plenty of food.

We have no paid staff. Every penny we receive goes directly to the horses — food, veterinary care, farrier work, transport, and the land that keeps them safe.
